Community First Services and Supports (CFSS)
About this Program
Community First Services and Supports (CFSS) is a Minnesota program that will replace Personal Care Assistance (PCA) and the Consumer Support Grant (CSG) beginning 10/01/2024.
CFSS is meant to expand people’s choices regarding how they receive their services, including who can provide services, additional support for writing plans, more self-direction options and the ability to purchase goods to aid a person’s independence. For more details, see What is CFSS?
MRCI is proud to have been awarded the contract from MN DHS to provide Financial Management Service (Budget Model) for CFSS participants statewide. Anyone using CFSS must have a Financial Management Services Provider and/or Agency like MRCI.
You are the Employer
In CDCS, the participant is the employer, which allows you to select, hire, train and manage your own staff.
Hire Family and Friends
You can hire the people you know, and who know you to provide your services. Including parents of minors and spouses.
Control your own care
This program is designed to give you the most flexibility in directing your services and supports.
