About this Program
Families and individuals can now pay for staffing without the worry and hassle of handling payroll taxes and other IRS obligations of having staff. By hiring, managing and supervising the workers, families/individuals have the utmost authority in directing their own care; however, using a Financial Management Service such as MRCI will provide a comfort in knowing you are accurately complying with all of the IRS guidelines for reporting wages and paying taxes.
By paying for care with a Financial Management Service, payment to any care provider will stand up to a Medicaid look back should the client spend their own money and become eligible for Medical Assistance.
Lastly, a Financial Management Service will accurately report the dollars that are spent on care to family members reducing the financial exploitation or accusations that could potentially occur.
You are the Employer
In Private Pay, the participant is the employer, which allows you to select, hire, train and manage your own staff.
Hire Family and Friends
You can hire the people you know, and who know you to provide your services, including parents and spouses.
